3) It ends with someone dramatically looking toward the camera
cause its funny look how thin that watermelon is its just flapping in the wind thats absurd
The mattress dips and Paul opens his heavy eyes to see John, flushed and red-eyed, crawling onto the bed. He hesitates for a moment, looking for all the world like an abused puppy expecting to be kicked again.
“Um,” John says, his beautiful voice breaking. “Can I–”
“Come here,” Paul says around the lump in his throat. He lifts his arm, reaches out for his best friend. John crawls into Paul’s space, immediately wraps himself around Paul and lays his head on Paul’s chest. Grabbing a handful of Paul’s shirt, John tucks his head further and begins to shake with horrible, open mouthed sobs that rend the air and tear Paul’s heart open.
“John, it’s all right,” Paul tries to say, unsuccessful in his attempt to keep his voice from shaking. He palms his forehead, as though to try and physically hold his tears back. It’s no use.
They cling to each other until the long night ends.
